This tree has its origin in southern Mexico and Guatemala, as well as in Cuba and Jamaica, which blooms in the months of April to May. Its nuts are used as a condiment in various dishes and can be easily combined with other spices. Its flavor and smell is similar to that of cloves, cinnamon, black pepper and nutmeg; That is why in English it is called “allspice” due to this combination.
